Our Story
Why Jiggity Jig? We believe firmly in the "Do what you love, love what you do", philosophy and we wanted work not to be work, but our passion and we wanted our job to be like coming home. We wanted our name to reflect the sense of fun and homeliness we intend to create as part of our culture.
For some time we'd started saying "Home again, home again" whenever we walked in the door at home. Home is where your heart is, home is where you go to be with people you choose to be with. The theme also reflects a desire to create an environment in which others we work with feel at home too. A place they can be themselves, be creative and innovate as well as feel safe to fail. We've chosen to work in an area where our heart is, and we want to have fun whilst we're at it.
'Home again, home again, jiggity jig' was a cute riff from the Bladerunner movie. Quoting it became a habit for us. When discussing ideas for the company it then became something that really resonated.
The original nursery rhyme starts "To market, to market, to buy a fat pig" - hence our logo, plus we live on a hobby-farm. Happiness and a sense of fun is a value we hold dear; hence our pig is doing a jig!
