This is an experiment - We are refining our values - in iterations
So if you haven't read our blog about how we are refining our values - go here first: Why we haven't defined our values yet.
Over the next few weeks we will upload more and more of our thoughts and workings that are defining our values and who we are, below on this page.
Whats in a Name?
Why Jiggity Jig? We believe firmly in the "Do what you love, Love what you do", philosophy and we wanted work not to be work, but our passion and we wanted our job to be like coming home. For some time we'd started saying "Home Again, Home Again" whenever we walked in the door at home.
Home is where your heart is, home is where you go to be with people you choose to be with. Home is where you go at the end of a working day, only for us work didn't stop, and still doesn't stop because we are all-in, we invest, we throw ourselves into our work and we take it home with us, and we LIVE it, we have chosen to work in an area where our heart is.
The 'home' theme also reflects a desire to create an environment in which others we work with also feel at home. A place they can be themselves, be creative and innovate as well as feel safe to fail.
'Home again, home again, jiggity jig' was first a cute riff on Bladerunner, then a habit, then an idea that resonated with both of us. Bruce was actually referencing the nursery rhyme "To market, to market" when he would originally say it, and that works for us also. Hence our fat pig. Happiness and a sense of fun is a value we hold dear; hence our pig is dancing!
